A sweet, fortified dessert wine crafted from our oldest block of Marachel Foch. Ovation is blended in a Solera meaning there are in 10+ vintages in each bottling. The resulting wine is complex with flavours of dried cherry, caramel, coffee and raisin. It is at home when chilled and served with blue cheese or chocolate desserts.

100% stainless steel fermented. Aged in an 11 year old neutral French oak solera.
Deep crimson red in colour and on the nose shows black cherry and plum notes. On the palate, flavours of sweet cherries, baking spice, earthy chocolate and dried cranberries lead to a long and pleasing finish.
Ovation comes exclusively from our estate vineyard which is East and South facing on a combination of Hillbank and Fairbridge soils.
Ovation is as old as Unsworth. Over the vintages we have experimented almost every year. We have dried the grapes in the manor of Amarone, the wine is aged in a solera method where the wine ages amongst varying vintages leading to complexity.
Food Pairing Notes
Ovation pairs perfectly with blue cheese and good dark chocolate. It is flawless with Abergavanny from our friends at Haltwhistle Cheese. Try putting Ovation in the fridge shortly before pouring a glass and it becomes even more magical with the end of a meal.
